(Current) Questionnaire Results (in cooperation with group b)

Sample

  • 56 participants
  • 46,5% male, 48,2% female
  • 57,1% under 40 years old

Hardware

  • 94,6% use ther notebook, 32,1% a stationairy PC
  • 71,4% use the integrated webcam, 32,1% an external webcam and 8,9% a DSLR/DSLM
  • 58,9% use the integrated micro, 35,7% a headset, 19,6% a large membrane mic and 8,9 a lavalier mic
  • 71,4% bought new hardware
  • 35,7% paid for it themselves, 35,7% split the costs with the uni
  • 82,1% are in home office
  • 64,7% have a suitable internet speed for this, 33,3% don't know

Software & Skills

  • 80,3% estimate their experience with online lecture technology good
  • 92,9% did training
  • 60,7% use software additional to conference software like Zoom

Preliminary Study Design (in cooperation with group b)

  • Alexander Bazo will present in the videos for us, adding legitimacy
  • Hardware is already present
  • Videos will most likely be about fotography
  • Slides will be done by Andreas Schmid
  • Videos will be cut, edited and rendered by us
  • Tested are Task Load and pre-existing knowledge
  • Knowledge test (memory & transfer) will be created by us (following guidelines + literature) & approved by at least Schmid & Bazo
  • We will perform a pre study to ensure adequate difficulty
  • Students will watch the videos (scaleable amount, within subject design)
  • Students will answer these tests & ideally take a follow up tests a few weeks later
