In cooperation with group A we will create several videos with Alexander Bazo as lecturer. Our videos will be about 10 minutes with similar subjects and similar difficulty. Possible subjects are birds, politics, history or photography. Our group compares the three video presentations - slides with voice-over, talking head and picture in picture. If possible, we want to conduct our study using a within-subject design. We want to produce the videos towards the end of the year or in January 2021. After watching the videos, we will make a learning test investigating what our participants have learned combining memory and transfer tasks. The tasks will be created by following specific guidelines according to the literature. Additionally, we plan to query the cognitive workload and the social presence of the students. In the beginning we also have to ensure that our learning questionnaire is not too easy or difficult for our participants and we need to know about their prior knowledge.
